Parque do Caracol reopens on December 17th in Canela/RS

The Novo Caracol e Tainhas Consortium is carrying out the first stage of improvements to the park over the next nine days.

From today (December 5) until December 16, Parque do Caracol in Canela/RS will be closed for the first stage of improvements that will be carried out by the attraction's new management, the Novo Caracol e Tainhas consortium. The attraction will officially reopen to the public on December 17 in the afternoon.

In this first phase, improvements will be made to the infrastructure and signage, revitalization of operations, parking services, improvement of amenities, maintenance of the trails, restoration of spaces and living areas. There will be three stages in all: quick wins, assisted operation and definitive operation, the latter with the implementation of new attractions.

In addition to Parque do Caracol in Canela/RS, the Novo Caracol e Tainhas consortium will also manage Parque Tainhas, in Campos de Cima da Serra. Rafael Silveira will take over general management of the two parks.

The concession contract was officially signed on November 4 at the Piratini Palace in Porto Alegre and officially published in the Official Gazette of Rio Grande do Sul last Friday, December 2.

Visiting Parque do Caracol
Parque do Caracol in Canela/RS is open every day from 9am to 7pm. Tickets will be sold directly at the entrance for R$75 per person. Canelenses with proof of residence will continue to be exempt from the fee and Gramadenses will be entitled to half-price admission. In addition to the Caracol Waterfall, Canela's main postcard, the 25-hectare park offers trails, viewpoints, a lounge area, sports courts, an observatory, a historic center and a train ride.
