Event "Gramado and its old mothers" brought together family and friends of the honorees

An evening full of emotion, affection and nostalgia.

An evening full of emotion, affection and nostalgia. This was the setting for the event that honored women from the Gramadense community for their involvement in building and promoting the destination. On Tuesday night (27), the Gramado Academy of Letters and Arts (AGLA) and the Gramado Recreation Society presented the honors of the "Gramado and its mothers of old" project.

In this first edition, 10 women were honored: Irma Peccin, Esmeralda Bezzi, Maria Helena Nardini (Lela), Elizabeth Rosenfeld, Osvaldina Lied, Yara Moras, Cilda Petersen, Marília Daros, Sílvia Zorzanello and Suzana Bertolucci. "Tonight, with emotions running high, sweet memories come to mind, and on behalf of each one of them, thank you very much," said Yara Moras, representing the evening's honorees. Family members of the other honorees received the honor.

Romeo Ernesto Riegel, an AGLA member who led the ceremony, emphasized his pride and love for the city and the importance of women's involvement in Gramado's growth. "We will hold more editions to honor other mothers of Gramado who have loved us and taught us to love, so that, in the end, we will make a beautiful anthology highlighting the history of our city through their actions," he said.

Very emotional and representing AGLA in her speech, Marta Rossi applauded everyone. "Nothing could be more appropriate than holding this event this evening, on International Tourism Day. We are saluting incredible women who kick-started the destination that has become a benchmark in tourism and so loved by visitors. I'm immensely proud to be from here, from a city that values women's work," she added.

Representing Sociedade Recreio Gramadense on the warm evening were Alemir Coletto and Ike Koetz, who once again paid tribute to the honorees, leaving the organization's doors open for more events like this. "Just as you've already said, let's point out the audacity of these women, who together with their husbands left this legacy of bravery, who 'planted seeds' that germinated for generations who now continue with this work of looking after the development of our city, which is one of the most coveted in Brazilian tourism," concluded the mayor.

The event was organized by the Academia Gramadense de Letras e Artes - AGLA and Sociedade Recreio Gramadense, in partnership with Achoco, Rossi & Zorzanello, Floricultura Giardino, Santho Aroma, Real Wood and Seger Publicidade & Design Gráfico.
