Embassy of Ivory Coast pays technical visit to Gramado

Members of the Ivory Coast Embassy, with the deputy mayor of Gramado, Luia Barbacovi and the CEO of Festuris, Eduardo ZOrzanello

In May, Gramado welcomed members of the Ivory Coast Embassy for a technical visit to bring the African country and Serra Gaúcha closer together. Lamine Kanté and Siaka Quattara were received by the CEOs of Festuris, Marta Rossi and Eduardo Zorzanello, who also renewed the Ivory Coast's participation in this year's fair, which takes place in Gramado from November 3 to 6.

During their visit to the municipality, the delegation also met with the deputy mayor of Gramado, Luia Barbacovi. The African country wants to increase the share of tourism in its economy, which currently accounts for only 8% of GDP. For this reason, the visit to the region is also strategic in this development process.

The stay in Gramado will also allow the embassy members to make connections with important products and services such as cocoa - which Ivory Coast is among the biggest exporters of - as well as the furniture and footwear sectors.
