8th Easter in Gramado kicks off full of attractions

Gramado, the national capital of artisanal chocolate, opened its Easter celebrations on Thursday (9).

Gramado, the national capital of artisanal chocolate, opened its Easter celebrations on Thursday (9). With a concert by the Big Band of the Gramado Symphony Orchestra, the 8th Easter in Gramado had its opening ceremony in Rua Coberta. The musicians were conducted by Bernardo Grings. In an irreverent and captivating performance, the Big Band featured a solo by Laura Dalmás. The Pascoalino rabbit added a playful touch to the ceremony. He arrived accompanied by the Easter Parade band and welcomed the guests with attention and good humor.  

In their opening speeches, the authorities emphasized that Easter in Gramado is an event prepared with great care by Gramadotur and the Gramado community. "We're going to have a beautiful Easter. It's the first year that we're proposing a whole month of programming. Gramado is the place for Easter until April 9th. There are lots of attractions," says the president of Gramadotur, Rosa Helena Volk.

The mayor of Gramado, Nestor Tissot, emphasizes that the tourists who visit the city at Easter will receive all the affection of the people of Gramado. "Everyone will leave here very happy. It's a privilege as mayor to be opening this 8th edition of Easter after a complicated period of pandemic. It's going to be a wonderful event," says Tissot.

ATTRACTIONS

With playful and religious attractions, the 8th Easter in Gramado - Gramado Aleluia will last 30 days. Until April 9, the city will be decorated and themed activities will take place in different places. The first weekend will be a busy one. In the Easter Village, which is set up in the Praça das Etnias square, various artistic interventions are planned. Another free highlight of the program will be the Easter Parade, which makes its debut on Saturday (11), at 3pm, on Avenida Borges de Medeiros.

On Rua Coberta, the event's big novelty, the show The Magic Kingdom of Easter, opens its doors from 10am on Saturday (11). With 21 daily sessions, the attraction is paid for and will address the playful aspect of the celebration. The show will run from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 8.30pm.

Easter in Gramado is presented by the Ministry of Culture, the Secretary of State for Culture and Uall Entertainment Shows and Cultural Education. The event is made possible through the Culture Incentive Law and is sponsored by Vitivinícola Jolimont.
