The event takes place from September 8 to 20 with the theme "Olive Trees, Olives and Olive Oils - Harmonizing Flavors".
Sixteen restaurants in Gramado will be taking part in the Gastronomic Tour of the Culture and Gastronomy Festival, which starts on the 8th. Each of them has created a special dish or combo that will be on the menu for the duration of the event at a unique price of R$ 99. Organized by Abrasel Hortênsias, the tour allows visitors to get to know the local gastronomy better in a more accessible way.
The participating restaurants are: Belle Vitrine, Brazzioli, Brûlée Bistrô, Casa da Madre, Colosseo, Di Pietro, Duo Gastronomia, Hard Rock Café, Il Piacere, Josephina, Malbec, Pastasciutta, RF Vision, San Tao Serra e Mar, Toro and Versoi.
Check out the dishes taking part in the Gastronomic Tour:
- Belle Vitrine: Lamb a Belle - rack of lamb in a wine sauce with fine herbs. Served with leek risotto and black olives sautéed in olive oil.
- Brazzioli: Steamed sea bass with truffled olive oil emulsion, mushroom crunch, vegetable caponata and smoked olive oil on toasted baguette.
- Brûlée Bistrô: Salmon in olive oil and rosemary. Served with cheese risotto and red fruit syrup.
- Casa da Madre: Grilled yellow hake with pelatti tomato sauce, colored peppers, onions and Azapa olives. Accompanied by eggs, potatoes with herbs and French lemon, drizzled in olive oil.
- Colosseo: Prawns flambéed in olive oil in a 5-cheese sauce and garnished with dark pasta in smoked olive oil.
- Di Pietro: Ossobuco in wine sauce with gremolata, aligot with olive oil and olives.
- Duo Gastronomia: Roast veal juglet accompanied by creamy truffled polenta with funghi and truffle oil and grana padano cheese.
- Hard Rock Café Gramado: Hamburger with cheddar cheese and olive mayonnaise. Served with fries, soft drink and dessert.
- Il Piacere: Cod roasted in a wood oven, potatoes, caponata, garlic, olives and rice with sliced almonds.
- Josephina: Confit cod steak served with mashed potatoes, roasted tomatoes, black olives and caponata.
- Malbec: Denver Steak with chimichurri sauce, mashed red peppers and olive oil, onion petals and potatoes stuffed with gorgonzola and black olives.
- Pastasciutta: Spaghetti artigianale in a rustic pomodoro sauce with prawns and mussels, flavored with Sicilian olives and fresh herbs with crispy cod on a balsamic and honey reduction and almond slices.
- RF Vision: Portuguese hake spaghetti al nero. Served with parmesan cheese fonduta, confit tomatoes, basil, prawns and grilled squid rings.
- San Tao Serra e Mar: Mar Negro spaghetti nero di seppia, crustacean, octopus and shrimp sauce finished with truffle oil.
- Toro: Grilled pirarucu with black olive caponata and soft polenta aligot.
- Versoi: Grilled salmon steak in a black olive crust, mixed leaves with breaded green olives and olive jelly with thyme.
In addition to the Gastronomic Tour, Abrasel Hortênsias is holding the four feasts - harmonized lunches and dinners with nationally renowned guest chefs - of the 14th Culture and Gastronomy Festival at the Catherine, San Tao Serra e Mar, Olivas de Gramado and Gatzz restaurants. Tickets are already on sale at each of the establishments.
Entries for the Waiters' Race open next week
The traditional Waiter 's Race will also be held by the organization. Scheduled for September 18, Sunday, at 3pm, the race consists of carrying a tray of glasses in the shortest time possible without wasting liquid along the route. Entries will open soon via the organization's social networks on the Instagram profile @abrasel_hortensias and are free of charge. Any waiter or waitress from Gramado can take part. The top three finishers will win special prizes. In the event of rain, the race will automatically be moved to the following day at the same time.
